We'll Always Have Paris
Next Generation Episode #24
Written by Deborah Dean Davis and Hannah Louise Shearer. Directed by Robert Becker.
Stardate: 41697.9 First aired: 2 May 1988
A temporal distortion passes over the Enterprise, and they receive a distress call from Vandor IV and the missing scientist Paul Manheim, whose specialism is non-linear time. Picard orders the Enterprise to attend, but is worried at meeting Manheim's wife, Jenice, who he stood up 22 years before in Paris. Everyone else on Manheim's team is dead, and Paul is seriously ill. The temporal shockwaves, christened 'Manheim radiation', threaten the fabric of time and space. Data is less susceptible to the distortions, evades the elaborate security system and seals the dimensional rift. As Paul recovers, Picard and Jenice make their Paris rendezvous, courtesy of the holodeck.
